dark meats, from lamb to game, as well as veal and strong cheeses.

Origin

The grapes for this wine come from the oldest vines in the Ried Holzspur, which, with its calcareous, warm, and dry alluvial soil, is ideally suited for growing Burgundy grape varieties.

Vinification and Ageing

After a very careful selection of the grapes and fermentation in wooden fermentation tanks, we age the wine in small wooden barrels for at least twenty-two months. Only after a further six months of bottle aging is the wine released for sale.

Tasting Note

Impressive aroma of sour cherries and berries. Firm on the palate, with a fine balance of acidity and tannins. Soft, harmonious, and with a long finish.
